Since 1993, BAS’ Project CREATE (Community Revitalization through Environmental Art and Team Efforts), a citywide mural program, has completed 34 murals with thousands of children. The skill-building and pride experienced by the participants of this program have been the major motivation for its existence.

A recent collaboration with just buffalo literary center has enhanced the academic content of this program and made it a school-wide activity which promotes communication and school morale and provides a mechanism for integrating arts curricula with other subjects.
