Mission Facilities History Internships

BAS resides in a rehabilitated factory. In 2000, we expanded from 15,000 sq. ft. to 23,000 sq. ft. We currently have two galleries, shared and private office spaces, a community space with kitchen, a printmaking room, a darkroom, a ceramics classroom, a kiln area, a computer lab, and semiprivate and private studios for 40 artists. Among other features, we added ventilation systems, smoke detectors, fireproof rooms, new electric systems and lights, halogen lighting systems for the galleries, steel doors, and panic push bars.
