Buffalo Arts Studio helps artists tell their stories and welcomes diverse visitors to connect with those stories. This year, Artist-in-Residence, Sa’dia Rehman created new work focused on memory, grief, and migration, themes that many of us can relate to. Rehman not only presented a compelling exhibition, but also collaborated with members of Journey’s End Refugee Services to create a wall drawing based on images that represented community, family, and home. The mural inspired so many conversations about how tragedy and loss can create a bridge for expression and connection to ourselves and each other.
